Many people want to play the original Gameboy games today, but many of the consoles are outdated and the batteries are no longer available. The cartridges are no longer able to save the game to them. This is why the Gameboy console has been a huge success, reaching millions of gamers around the world years after it was discontinued. Gameboy games eventually die from battery failure. All saved information will be lost when the battery goes dead. The battery stops games from saving and makes any saved games disappear. The Gameboy can still be saved even though it is not powered on. However, the battery might soon die. The battery life of an older battery is longer if it's easier to save files. It could last longer if you don't keep too many games older than 20 years and the battery is in good condition.
